Butterfly Shrub - Drunken Fish Grass
醉魚草（拉丁文名：Buddleja lindleyana Fortune.），屬灌木，莖皮褐色；小枝具四棱，棱上略有窄翅；幼枝、葉片下面、葉柄、花序、苞片及小苞片均密被星狀短絨毛和腺毛。葉對生，萌芽枝條上的葉為互生或近輪生，葉片膜質，卵形、橢圓形至長圓狀披針形，基部常有宿存花萼；種子淡褐色，小，無翅。 花期4-10月，果期8月至翌年4月。它穗狀聚傘花序頂生，花紫色，芳香，深受蝴蝶的喜愛，能招引來各式各樣的蝴蝶。全株有小毒，搗碎投入河中能使活魚麻醉，便于捕捉，故有“醉魚草”之稱。
Drunken Fish Grass(Scientific Latin Name: Buddleja lindleyana Fortune) is a kind of shrub with brown stems; branchlets with four edges and small narrow wings; on young branches, petioles, inflorescence, bracts and bracteoles, and underside leaf blades are densely covered with stellate short villi and glandular hairs. It has opposite leaves, while leaves on budding branches are alternate or subwhorled, membranes on leaf bladesare ovoid, elliptic to oblong-lanceolate,Calyx often persistent at base; Pale brown seeds are small and wingless. The flowering season lasts from April to October, and the fruiting season lasts from August to April of the following year.Spicate cyme grows from the top, and purple and fragrant flowers that butterflies love can attract all kinds of butterflies. The whole plant is mildly toxic. The plant is called "Drunken Fish Grass" because it can be anesthetized and easily caught when mashed in rivers.
